Shelley Weir is a graphic designer and letterpress printer with a love of clean design, typography and vintage illustration. It is the culmination of these interests that have led her down this new path after many years of success in the advertising and wedding invitation industries. Shelley lives thirty minutes north of Toronto in Markham, Ontario, Canada with her husband and two hockey-obsessed sons.

Sweet Peony Press letterpress cards and marriage certificates are printed by Shelley on a 1913 New Style Chandler and Price clamshell press. It is powered by foot treadle and the energy of the operator, fed by hand, one sheet at a time. The type and graphics are pressed deeply into soft cotton paper to leave a visual and tactile impression. Digital prints are printed on smooth heavy-weight paper with archival inkjet inks.
