Shelley Weir is a graphic designer and business owner with a love of clean design, typography and vintage illustration. It is the culmination of these interests that have led her to create her own line of designs after many years of success in the advertising and wedding invitation industries. Shelley lives surrounded by forest in beautiful Kingston, Ontario, Canada with her husband and two hockey-obsessed sons.

Sweet Peony Press began creating letterpress wedding stationery and marriage certificates printed by Shelley on a 1913 New Style Chandler and Price clamshell press. It was powered by foot treadle and the energy of the operator, fed by hand, one sheet at a time. The type and graphics were pressed deeply into soft cotton paper to leave a visual and tactile impression. This beloved press was recently sold when the Weir family made the big move from Markham to Kingston. Sweet Peony Press now focuses on the creation of digital art prints, canvas signs, wedding signage and personalized gift items. Shelley welcomes freelance design clients and can create anything from a logo to a brochure or website.
